Industry News – IWC Auctions Off Historical Timepiece to Benefit Charity

From the 11th to the 18th of December 2002, IWC will hold for the fifth time, an
auction of one of its historical timepieces. The proceeds will be donated to UNESCO.

Up for auction is a true rarity from IWC, the Aquatimer Ref. 1812 dating from
1975 with the famous 8541 calibre movement. It is equipped with the Pellaton
automatic winding system and a Breguet balance spring with IWC precision
adjustment. Power reserve is of 42 hours, it has a date display and is water
resistant to 200 metres.
