New Model – Japy Type 32 Bugatti
Frederic Japy devoted his life to inventing and developing machine tools to improve the manufacture of his watches. As a result, in 1777 he founded the first factory in the world for manufacturing watch movements, thus revolutionizing the watch industry.
140 years later, Ettore Bugatti revolutionized the nascent automobile industry with the quality and performances of his designs. In 1923, he designed an aerodynamic masterpiece, the Bugatti Type 32, a two-seat race car, derived from the profile of an airplane wing. As a tribute to this futuristic car, Japy recently launched the “Type 32”.
Its case consists of a double stainless steel shell. The external shell ensures robustness and ergonomics, and it is reinforced by the arch of the winding-crown protector.
The automatic ETA movement comes with a Glucydur pendulum, Nivarox 1 balance-spring, polished steel pallet and escape wheel, Incabloc shock absorbers, and a Nivaflex E spring. The case is water resistant to 300 meters.
