WHAT IS AN A-AUCTION ? A-auctions
are Antiquorum’s version of e-auctions. A-auctions take place exclusively online at www.antiquorum.com, via a fully secure automated online auction system. There is a specific start time and date set for the auction, however absentee bids can be placed as soon as the electronic catalogue is posted online and increased up until the actual start of the auction. On auction day, bidding takes place in real time, lot after lot, until the auction ends.

In order to participate in an A-auction,
clients first need to register by connecting to Antiquorum’s website where they can complete an online application. For A-auctions Antiquorum will also accept absentee bids sent by fax.

Unlike the traditional auction which has
a buyer’s premium of 15%, the buyer’s premium for A-auctions is 10% on the hammer price, exclusive of taxes and fees. All lots sold through this A-auction are located in the USA. Foreign buyers are responsible for the payment of all applicable custom duties and handling fees relating to purchases. |
