Dear VC Fans,

For the first time, ladies timepieces were the focus for Vacheron’s new introductions this year. Fortunately, there were a few noteworthy new introductions for men, including:

* A stunning platinum version of the Patrimony Traditionelle 38 MM
* A new, two-tone dial color for the two-tone, 18 karat white and pink gold Patrimony Traditionelle Chronograph
* A rose gold version of the Patrimony Contemporaine pocket watch

New ladies’ models include:

* Patrimony Contemporaine Lady Gold Bracelet
* Patrimony Traditionelle Manual-Winding
* Malte Lady
* The star of Vacheron’s line-up, the Métiers d’Art Florilège enamel series

Let’s start with the new men’s pieces…

Patrimony Traditionelle 38 MM in Platinum
Four years after the model’s launch in 2009, Vacheron has finally introduced a platinum version of the wonderful Patrimony Traditionelle 38 MM. The dial is two-tone gray with white print. Combined with the platinum case, the color combination is a knock-out.

Inside is the outstanding Vacheron caliber 4400, a large and modern manual winding movement designed and manufactured entirely by Vacheron. The Geneva-sealed movement provides 65 hours of power using just one mainspring.

Patrimony Traditionelle Chronograph
Next up is a new two-tone dial variant introduced for the Patrimony Traditionelle chronograph. The movement is the manual-winding Lemania-sourced VC Caliber 1141 column wheel chronograph. The case measures 42 mm in diameter.

Patrimony Contemporaine Pocket Watch
The Patrimony Contemporaine pocket watch is now available in an 18 karat rose gold case following the Excellence Platine version I wrote about a short while ago. The 43 mm case houses VC’s caliber 4400 manual-winding movement.

A matching leather strap with 18 karat rose gold accents is available separately for purchase.

Now on to the new ladies’ models…

Patrimony Contemporaine Lady Gold Bracelet
Vacheron introduced two new 18 karat rose gold Patrimony Contemporaine ladies’ models measuring 36 mm in diameter – both fitted with an all new matching bracelet. I’m hopeful we see a version of this bracelet introduced for the men’s Patrimony Contemporaine.

The first features a diamond bezel and silver dial with a diamond-set minute track, with date indication at 6 o’clock.

The second version features a pavé diamond dial and bracelet, paved with nearly 800 diamonds, with no date indication.

Note the Maltese cross motif at the center of the clasp…

The movement found within each is the Vacheron self-winding caliber 2450 (no date) and 2460 (date).

Patrimony Traditionelle Lady Manual-Winding
A new, 33 mm, ladies-sized version of the classic Patrimony Traditionelle. Available in 18 karat white or rose gold, they’re fitted with the manual-winding Vacheron caliber 1400 and diamond-set bezels totaling 0.88 carats (54 diamonds).

Malte Lady
Three new ladies models within the tonneau-shaped Malte line – in pink and white gold. They measure 28.3 mm x 38.75 mm, and are fitted with quartz movements.

The Métiers d’Art Florilège
Inspired by English botanical illustrations from Robert John Thornton’s The Temple of Flora published in 1799, this year’s Métiers d’Art collection is the first ever devoted to women. The collection combines guilloché engraving, cloisonné, and Grand Feu enamel resulting in amazingly vibrant and vivid dials that have to be seen in person to truly appreciate. The Métiers d’Art Florilège is a limited series of 20 watches with round-cut diamond set bezels, and 5 additional with baguette diamonds available in Vacheron Constantin Boutiques.

Once again, Vacheron’s artisans were demonstrating the crafts of gem setting, watchmaking, and engraving.
